This at-home test detects a urinary tract infection (UTI) in adults or children (age 2+) in 2 minutes. It includes a virtual care consultation for a treatment plan and potential prescriptions.
What is measured?
This test measures the following biomarker:
-
Urinary leukocytes
Urinary leukocytes are white blood cells in the urine. White blood cells help to fight infection. If white blood cells are found in the urine, this usually means there is infection in the urinary tract. The infection can be in the bladder, ureter or kidneys.
-
Urinary nitrite
Urinary nitrites are used to diagnose a urinary tract infection (UTI). Nitrites are produced by gram negative bacteria, primarily Escherichia coli, that cause UTIs. When nitrites are found in the urine, this indicates that the bacteria that produce nitrites are also present causing infection in the urinary tract. The infection can be in the bladder, ureter or kidneys.
